Chris Saldivar
Hello, my name is Chris, and I'm deeply committed to serving people that have been impacted by trauma. Following a fulfilling career in the military, where I exited as a Sergeant, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Brandman University, completed in 2012. My journey into social work began at the Wounded Warrior Battalion Call Center at Camp Pendleton, assisting wounded Marines. This role ignited my passion for veteran care, leading me to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Southern California. During my studies, I gained invaluable experience as a counselor at two different local agencies where I got to work with people struggling with trauma.
My professional experience spans nearly a decade in providing individual, couples, and group counseling, specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, family and marital issues, bereavement, and a range of other psychological difficulties. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, emphasizing strength-based and solutions-focused strategies to empower my clients. I am certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy Level 1, and EMDRIA.
I am dedicated to developing comprehensive treatment plans. My work is guided by a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma and the resilience of the human spirit. I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they navigate their paths to recovery and adjustment.
I don’t accept insurance at this time and provide a Super Bill
