Leah Perle
Hello, I am Leah Perle. I am a dedicated therapist at Orange County Therapy. I strive to offer my clients quality care that’s centered around my professional competence, firm adherence to legal and ethical standards, and continual expansion in my knowledge of the practice. My passion for learning about human behavior and the human psyche is a large part of why I chose to work in this profession.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from California State University of Long Beach. I’ve received training and supervision in therapeutic interventions including cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic and dialectical behavior therapy techniques. I have experience in multiple settings including partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and non-profit organizations. I’ve worked with a range of populations including unhoused individuals, adults struggling with substance abuse, and clients with a range of mental health related issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
I take a client-centered approach towards therapy that is curious, open-minded, compassionate, and culturally sensitive. I believe that everyone is capable of growth and one of my roles is to help facilitate that incremental change through the therapeutic process. I aim to foster a supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable to express their inner-most thoughts and feelings. I know how difficult it can be to take that first step towards seeking help and beginning therapy. I would be happy to set up a time to have a 5-15 minute consult to get a feel if this would be the right fit for you.
